KCCA FC Crowned Winners of the Phillip Omondi Invitational Tournament

KCCA FC were crowned winners of the third edition of the Philip Omondi Pre-Season Tournament held at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo from 14th to 15th September 2018.

The annual tournament played on a round robin format got underway with back to back Champions Proline FC playing against top flight new comers Nyamityobora FC, a game which saw explosive play maker Bright Anokanu give Proline an early lead in the 5th minute that eventually won them the game.

The day’s second game saw hosts KCCA FC take on Big League side Kamuli Park in a game that ended 2-0 in favor of the hosts. Patrick Kaddu with a brace to his name. KCCA FC gaffer handing playing time to most of the new signings in Nicholas Kasozi, Gift Ali and Esenu Musa and players from the development side in Gerald Kirya, Achai Herbert and Sadat Anaku.

Day two and final day of the tournament saw tournament record winners Proline FC go 1-0 down against Kamuli Park FC in the early opening game. Goal scored by Luboobi Daff.

Tournament hosts KCCA FC later beat Nyamityobora FC 2-1 in the final game of the 3rd edition of the Philip Omondi Pre-Season Invitational Tournament. Allan Kyambadde and teenager Sadat Anaku scoring for the KCCA FC while Joseph Akwandanaho got Nyamityobora FC the consolation goal.

KCCA FC were then crowned winners of the 3rd edition of the Philip Omondi Pre-Season Invitational Tournament and collecting a wining prize of one million Uganda Shillings plus winners medals and a trophy.
