KCCA FC pushed for an early breakthrough but the visitors kept on frustrating their endless attacks as they also searched for their opening.

Much as CD Primeiro de Agosto enjoyed early spells of the game, custodian Benjamin Ochan was equal to every test presented to him.

KCCA FC grew in confidence after the half hour mark as Joseph Ochaya twice checked goalkeeper Adao Cabaca in a space of two minutes, one being a freeckick that whistled over the cross bar at the stroke of halftime.

KCCA FC looked to be the side that benefited more from the half time break when cameo Brian Majwega who had replaced Derrick Nsibambi sent in a well weighted corner that Geoffrey Serunkuuma calmly slotted home three minutes after the break.

Vincent Kayizzi came on for Muzamir Mutyaba midway the second half, to add pile pressure to the visitors, later Robert Ssentongo replaced the goalscorer, then it was clear the manager wasn’t contented with the lone striker.

KCCA FC piled the pressure but the backline cautiously kept the the defensive discipline as a clean sheet was very important to take to Luanda in a weeks time.
