The long break of the 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League won’t go waste for the reigning champions, KCCA FC will be playing newly crowned Kenya Premier League Champions Tusker FC in an international friendly on November 26th at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
The match will be used to keep the players’ competitiveness in check but also gauge the side against foreign opposition ahead of the 2017 CAF Champions League.

This is good news for the team and the players in particular. Tusker is a good side, they have not been crowned KPL champions by mistake, they play good football and know how to get results.

Tusker are coached by 2014 Uganda cup winning coach Paul Nkata whose URA side then defeated KCCA 4-2 on penalties in Mbale to lift the title.

On November 19th after their league tie against Gor Mahia, Tusker will be crowned league champions fort the first time since 2012.
Tusker have won 11 KPL titles, three FKF President’s titles, two Kenyan Super Cup titles and two KPL Top Eight cups and will be Kenya’s representatives at the 2017 CAF Champions League.
