KCCA FC kicked of the 2018/9 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season with a win against stubborn Tooro United FC at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Allan Okello’s 7th minute belter and Patrick Kaddu’s header in the 54th minute after missing a penalty 30 seconds earlier, is all KCCA FC needed to edge the Tooro based side.

Hosts KCCA FC looked the sharper side from the onset and nearly got ahead in the third minute but Herbert Achai a graduate from the KCCA FC junior team who was having his senior debut with his boyhood club flashed his effort wide.

Four minutes later, Okello pounced on Achai’s ball from midfield and screamed the ball in the net from 25 yards sending the home fans wild.

Gaffer Mike Mutebi was then forced into making an early change introducing Muwadda Mawejje for injured Julius Poloto.
