KCCA FC obliterated rivals URA FC in 7-2 game thriller, thanks to Shaban Muhammad who bagged a haul and one apiece from Paul Mucureezi, Allan Okello and Patrick Kaddu in a league game held at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo

KCCA FC drew first blood courtesy of an effort from Shaban who nodded a well weighted ball from Julius Poloto that deflected off an opponent and into the net giving the home side KCCA FC the advantage,  9 minutes into the game.

Jimmy Kulaba drew the tie level for the visitors in the 27th minute but two minutes before halftime, Shaban put KCCA ahead from a quick move.  Isaac Kirabira with a huge hand in the goal and ensuring the home side went into the break with the advantage.

Paul Mucureezi was introduced to the game in place of Jackson Nunda who had a couple of narrowly missed chances in the opening stanza. Hardly had the midfielder set foot on the playing surface when he sent in a pinpoint cross that captain Timothy Awany headed inches wide five minutes after the restart.

Shaban then bagged a brace, tapping the ball in the net after a sweeping move from deep in the midfield that saw Okello release the forward to make it 3-1 on 56 minutes.

A minute to the hour mark,  Mucureezi tapped the ball in the net from another Okello assist making it 4 for KCCA FC and sending the crowd in a frenzy of sorts. Five minutes later Kizza Mustafa returning from a short layoff was introduced in place of Hassan Musana, the cameo registering two assists in the game with only 25 minutes of the pitch.

On 77 minutes, Shaban tapped the ball in the back of the net,  grabbing a hat trick for himself and taking his season tally to 10 goals, adding misery to the visitors. Two minutes later Saidi Kyeyune scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

On the 90th minute mark, Kizza released Okello who sent thunderbolt that went screaming into the net making it 6 and sending the fans wild. The teenager crowning his four assists on the day with a beautiful goal.

And just when it seemed like it was allover, cameo Patrick Kaddu stretched the lead with the final hammer off his head to make it 7 for KCCA FC.

7-2 is how it ended, KCCA FC destroying rivals URA FC in a game that turned out to be a goals galore of sorts.

KCCA FC play Vipers SC next away in the Uganda Premier League on Friday 27th April, 2018 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
