KCCA FC senior team is set to return for pre season on Sunday 16th July 2023.
This will be the first time the team will be training under the new technical team led by Head Coach, Sergio Traguil.
The senior side has been away for seven weeks since Saturday May 27th 2023 which was the final day of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2022/23 season.
The team is set to undergo an intensive pre season program that is filled with a series of schedules to prepare the players ahead of a very busy 2023/24 season.
The Head Coach Sergio Traguil and his technical team have already met the players and laid out expectations ahead of the pre season and the 2023/24 season.
A series of friendly games have been lined up to get the players conditioned and prepared for the new season.
The club is set to take part in the FUFA Super 8 tournament that kicks off on 4th – 14th August 2023 according to the Football Association. The tournament is played by the 8 best sides from the previous season as per the league table.
KCCA FC won the inaugural FUFA Super 8 tournament when it beat Onduparaka 2-0 in a final held at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku in 2018.
KCCA FC will also play against Vipers SC in the FUFA Super Cup 2023. The date and venue is yet to be confirmed.
The Kasasiro Boys are also the record winners of the FUFA Super Cup, six times (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019).
The Cityzens will have their eyes set on 18 to 20th August 2023 when KCCA FC is expected to play the first leg of the preliminary round for CAF Confederation Cup.
