KCCA finally unveils brand new 48-seater club bus

Good things just can’t stop coming to Uganda Premier league defending champions and current table leaders KCCA FC.

Just as club chairman Julius Raymond Kabugo promised last year, a new state of the art club bus was unveiled on Friday at Lugogo by the KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi Ssemakula.

There was a delirium and anxiety at Lugogo stadium as the fans, players and stakeholders all applauded the arrival of the new shs500m bus that now replaces the out of sorts bus that was rejected right away last year.

The 48-capacity seater, that is comfortable enough for players to travel long distances, was given a test drive – that saw fans, the Executive Director and chairman driven around Nakawa, Kololo and back to Lugogo.

We now have a club bus befitting of our status. The players will be able to travel in good conditions and get the results. May be we can add to the seven players we now have in the national team

The Executive Director said on the function moments before unveiling the bus where club captain Denis Okot and his deputy Joseph Ochaya, represented fellow players at the event.

I now feel the pressure is off me after delivering the bus I promised. I want to focus on another undertaking

An excited Kabugo revealed at he function on Friday evening at Lugogo.

The bus, undoubtedly the best in the country, has players’ photos and sponsor logos emblazoned on it which ultimately adds to its unique beauty.

According to John Paul Ssajjabi, the bus project manager, the bus is the 1st of its kind in the region and is of German make but assembled in Kenya, It was manufactured in 2015 making it a year or less on planet earth.

Has a 4C engine with 10,500 engine capacity. Its Air conditioned and also has a provision of air suspension at the top. The bus has 12 gears going forward and 2 gears going backwards.
It has 2 years warranty and unlimited mileage.

It has a radio and a screen, with an ambience that enables enough room for legs, the bus is a 48 sitter and cost 157,000 dollars. (Ug Shillings 533,800,000)

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Mrs Musisi took time to and shared inspirational talks with KCCA FC footballers and the KCCA Leopards, the female basketball team currently in the finals of the National Basketball League and promised to help them if they continued to post positive results.
