Goalkeeper Charles Lukwago has kept five cleansheets this season in six appearances

There is no doubt that goalkeeper Charles Lukwago has been one of the best performers for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) so far in the 2017/2018 Azam Uganda Premier League Season.

The champions have scored a total of 21 goals in 10 league outings, but have also let in just five at the back, keeping six cleansheets in the process.

Lukwago has kept five of those cleansheets, three of them have been straight, against Masavu (6-0), Police (2-0) and Soana (4-0).

The others are against Maroons and Bright Stars, both games ended in barren draws. Lukwago has attributed the good performance to teamwork and discipline from everyone.

When you play with a lot of discipline and work as a team, you get rewarded, and that’s what is happening at KCCA FC, there is a lot of commitment from everyone

Lukwago told www.kccafc.co.ug before revealing that the team is not yet at it’s best but working towards that.

We had a slow start and we are just picking up, I can’t say we are at our best yet, what I can say is that we are working towards our best and we shall get there with time.

Lukwago and company will be aiming at a fourth straight cleansheet and victory when the champions host Vipers at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo on Tuesday.
