KCCA FC custodian Charles Lukwago has been called up for the senior National football side for the first time.
The gangly shot stopper has a chance to feature in the upcoming friendly games against Sao Tome on 24th March or Malawi on 27th March 2018.
The goal keeper has recorded 9 clean sheets in 13 league games and has three clean sheets in four CAF Champions League games this season
Speaking about his first senior national team call up, the custodian had this to say,
I think its down to the hardwork i have put in as a player. Many times i keep on the pitch after training at KCCA FC and i try to perfect a few things about my game and this has paid off. Its every players’ dream to be called up to play for their National team and am humbled i have attained this feat. I will continue working hard and pushing for the ultimate best. I also have to thank my fellow players and technical team at KCCA FC especially my goal keeper coach Daniel Kiwanuka who has been there for me through thick and thin, i owe him everything in the world. I hope this call up is one of the many to come, Lukwago said
