AS Kigali vs KCCA FC| 4 pm (EAT) |

Kigali Stadium, Nyamirambo

KCCA FC will play AS Kigali in the First round at Kigali Stadium, Nyamirambo.

The same stadium hosting the first leg is the same stadium in which KCCA FC won the finals of the CECAFA Clubs Cup 2019 against Tanzania’s Azam FC hosted in Kigali, Rwanda.

13 times Uganda Premier League Champions KCCA FC will be hoping to make amends after those back to back losses before the break of the 2020/21 domestic league.

The fixture comes after that away loss against SC Villa and URA FC at home. Both losses in a space of four days. These marked KCCA first loss of the season ending the 3 game unbeaten run the club had held since commencement of the 2020/21 domestic league.

KCCA FC received a bye from CAF in the previous round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The game against AS Kigali on Wednesday will be the first CAF game for the Ugandan side in over a year. The last CAF Confederation Cup game for KCCA FC was on 3rd November 2019 against Paradou AC away in Algeria.
