KCCA FC and Nyamityobora FC will tussle it out in the second leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
KCCA FC won 4-2 the first leg played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Goals from Bright Anukani, Julius Poloto, Sadat Anaku and Samuel Ssenyonjo gave KCCA FC the needed win in the first leg. Clinton Kamugisha scored a brace for Nyamityobora FC.
KCCA FC traveled to Mbarara with Jurua Hassan a junior team graduate who made his club debut in 2018 for KCCA FC when he came on as substitute against Brightstars FC in the league.
He went on to have his full debut against Mbarara City FC in 2018/19 season.
He has since missed in action due to an injury and sickness that got him admitted in the intensive care unit early 2020.
Jurua Hassan is a versatile player who can operate as a center back, holding midfielder and right back.
www.kccafc.co.ug spoke with Jurua ahead of his potential start for the club after a long while out and he said
First of all I want that Allah that I am here speaking to you, you very well know my story and how I have had a start and stop career but I am grateful that I am able to kick a ball again.
I want to thank the manager for the trust and belief he has shown towards me and given me a chance.
Jurua Hassan on his return
I will make sure I pay back his trust in me by putting up a good performance.
Other notable changes are Aliro Moses who is back in the squad after missing out of the first leg at Lugogo. He replaces Kato Samuel who did not travel with the team.
Kizza Joseph Bukenya is the other who featured in the first leg but did not travel with the team to Mbarara for the second leg.
Juma Balinya, Gift Ali, Brian Aheebwa, John Revita and Musa Ramathan are ruled out of the return leg in Mbarara. The latter resumed training this week but lacked match fitness to travel with the team.
Mazengo Stefano, Kato Samuel, Kizza Bukenya, Andrew Kawooya, Moses Kalanzi, Hassan Matovu are okay but did not make the traveling 18-man squad.
Dominic Ayella and Joseph Kafumbe are away due to school engagements.
KCCA FC manager Morley Byekwaso spoke to kccafc.co.ug ahead of his first away game in charge of the team and he said;
We are fine and ready ahead of the return leg. We had safe travels and the boys are ready to finish the job here in Mbarara. It will not be an easy game given the fact that they play physical football and are used to their ground which is not that comfortable for us.
We will play with caution because we know the kind of threat they possess.
