MATCH PREVIEW: KCCA FC seek to make amends against Police

By: Moses Magero

Barely two days after the game against Soana, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) return to action on Friday with a short trip to Mandela National Stadium to take on Police.

KCCA FC striker Geoffrey Serunkuuma (R) and midfielder Paul Mucureezi have been named in the match day squad to face Police at Namboole on Friday

The defending champions faced a slump on Tuesday, drawing one-all against Soana in Kavumba and the target at hand will be to make quick amends to return to winning ways.

Manager Mike Mutebi indicates the focus is to go out and pick maximum points against Police so as to keep a stranglehold of the title defence.

“We are facing a good team with a very tactical manager in Abdallah Mubiru and it will not be an easy game but those are the challenges we have to face and the target we have is to go for maximum points,” Mutebi told www.kcccafc.coug.

“We are ready for the game, the players have fully recovered from the previous game and all we have to do is to address the areas we lacked in the game against Soana and move on,” he added.

Striker Derrick Nsibambi (R) will be looking at increasing his goal tally, he already has five in the league

KCCA will seek to reclaim the league summit and victory against Police will take the defending champions top of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) log on 45 points, one ahead of current leaders SC Villa.

Villa have, however, played three more games than KCCA.
