Gift Ali should have separated both sides after a good cross from Herbert Achai fell to Gift but his effort flew past the upright with the goal keeper at his mercy.
After recess, Lwanga Charles and Mugume Ashraf replaced Kigozi Samson and Gift Ali.
At the hour mark, Magambo Peter headed wide from close quarters off a good corner kick from Musana Hassan.
With a quarter an hour to play, Bright Anukani and Samuel Ssenyonjo replaced Poloto Julius and Iguma Denis.
