KCCA FC and Police FC played out a one all stalemate at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
KCCA FC took an early lead from Ashraf Mugume’s beautifully struck freekick in the 4th minute of the game after Davis Kasirye was brought down on the edge of the box.
The hosts Police leveled through Juma Balinya’s penalty in the 8th minute of the game.
Kasirye should have doubled KCCA’s lead but his header flew wide off Majwega’s cross with Police custodian Ikara beaten in the 21st minute.
At the half hour mark, Jurua’s long ball was controlled by Kaddu who set up Kasirye but his effort flew inches over the bar.
Two minutes later, Majwega beat his marker and crossed in the box but Kasirye headed inches over the bar.
Police’s Frank Kalanda was cautioned for interrupting the start of play in the 37th minute.
Anaku Sadat’s lob rattled the woodwork but was later flagged offside by the first assistant referee in the 41st minute.
1-1 at the break.
After recess, KCCA introduced Mato Rogers and Fillbert Obenchan for Kasirye Davis and Innocent Wafula.
Mato headed wide from his first touch off a cross from Majwega in the 49th minute.
At the hour mark, Mato stung the palms of goal keeper Ikara and the ball rolled wide for a corner kick.
Mugume should have handed KCCA the lead once again but his fierce effort flew over the frame of the goal in the 64th minute.
Ssekisambu Erisa replaced Sadat Anaku with 19 minutes of normal time to play.
In the 83rd minute, Police’s Tom Ikara and Reuben Kimera were cautioned for time wasting and a foul respectively.
Stalemate at fulltime.
Both sides sharing the points.
KCCA FC maintain second position on the table and now have 42 points from 21 games with 9 matches to play.
