StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

KCCA FC and Express FC played out a goalless draw at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

This was the first time KCCA FC failed to score in a league game this term.

It was and end to end affair in the opening 10 minutes but both sides failed to burry their chances.

In the 11th minute. Express’ Lumu Isa went into the referee’s book for tagging on Anaku’s shirt at the center line just when the young man seemed like he had whisked away from the entire away team’s backline.

Majwega dribbled past his man and crossed in the away team’s box but custodian Otim was equal to the task. Express then made the first change of the game, Deus Bukenya replacing Lumu in the 17th minute.

Usama Arafat

With two minutes to the half hour mark, Iguma Dennis and Sadat Anaku interchanged beautifully in the Express’ box, the former’s shot flew wide with Denis Otim beaten.

In the 33rd minute, Anaku’s header was palmed away by Otim on the goal line. That being KCCA FC’s best chance in the opening stanza.

0-0 at Halftime.

Gift Ali

After recess, Kasirye Davis replaced Gift Ali.

Herbert Achai picked a ball in the middle and shot on goal but the ball flew wide in the 55th minute.

In the 62nd minute, KCCA FC survived on one end and skipper Benjamin Ochan had a quick start to Anaku whose shot was parried over the crossbar by Express’Otim.

In the 77th minute, Anaku’s had the game’s best moment of offensive promise but his header flew wide off the upright with the goal at his mercy.

Innocent Wafula

In the 80th minute, Mato Rogers rattled the woodwork with a smart final touch of so much confusion in the away team’s box.

Byekwaso rung some changes. He made a triple substitution, introducing Jurua Hassan, Musa Ramathan, Kigozi Andrew for Usama Arafat, John Revita and Rogers Mato.

Brian Aheebwa then replaced Innocent Wafula in 87th minute.

0-0 at fulltime.
