KCCA FC went down 2-0 to Vipers SC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Two goals in two minutes was what the visitors needed to collect an away win.

After a quarter of an hour, Katenga was fouled on the edge of the box. Mugume stepped up to take the free kick, and the ball was saved by goalkeeper Mudekereza.

KCCA FC had a penalty shout waved away by referee Okello Dick after Ettiene Katenga was fouled in the box by Alfred Mudekereza in the 17th minute.

The visitors broke the deadlock, getting goals from Yunus Ssentamu and Allan Okello in the 28th and 30th minutes.

Saidi Mayanja and Mugume Ashraf were cautioned for fouls.

KCCA FC made two changes before the interval, replacing Musitafa Mujuzi and Joel Sserunjogi with Haruna Lukwago and Brain Jjara.

Vipers’ Nico Wadada would then get cautioned for a foul on Katenga before halftime.

2-0 at the interval.

Yian Gatbel | KCCA FC vs Vipers SC

At the start of the second stanza, Shafik Kwikiriza replaced youngster Yian Gatbel.

Sadat Anaku later replaced Derrick Nsibambi and then Bright Anukani for Ashraf Mugume.

KCCA FC’s Anaku and Vipers’ Mukundane were cautioned late on for committing fouls.

2-0 to the visitors after fulltime.

KCCA FC turns focus on the Uganda Cup on 25th February 2025 against Kuluva Rainbow FC in Arua.
