KCCA FC beat Vipers SC 1-0 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League game held at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo
The Kasasiro boys put a foot forward from the onset with quick attacking football that troubled the visitors’ backline.
Gift Ali had the game’s first moment of offensive promise but his effort was parried wide by Mutombora in the 3rd minute.
In the 8th minute, Mike Mutyaba was fouled on the edge of the box and Kizza’s resultant freekick was saved.
Kizza then played a teasing cross in the box that beat keeper Fabien, rattled the post and onto Sekisambu whose shot went above the crossbar on the 10th-minute mark.
KCCA FC had a couple of missed chances thereafter with most of the action in the visitors’ half. Kizza whipped his free-kick an inch over the bar in the 19th minute.
On 27 minutes, Sekisambu dribbled past his marker and crossed to Nunda who headed straight to the keeper in what seemed to be the game’s best chance at the time.
In the 31st minute, Sekisambu left Venoms’ Kayondo for dead and crossed to Obenchan who dummied and Mutyaba pounced with a hard hit that had a deflection and hit the back of the net thus sending the home fans in a mega frenzy.
Seven minutes later, Nunda broke Vipers’ build up and set up Keziron whose hit went inches wide off the upright.
KCCA ‘s Fillbert Obenchan and Vipers’ Dan Serunkuma were cautioned for fouls before the half time break.
After recess, the visitors made a change introducing Kayiwa for Wafula and Kalumba for Tito Okello.
In the 54th minute, Muzamiru Mutyaba got cautioned for a foul on an opponent.
KCCA had their first change in the 73rd minute when teenager Sserwadda Steven was introduced for goal scorer Muzamiru.
Minutes later Venoms made their final substitution bringing on Frank Tumwesigye to replace the day’s skipper Brian Nkuubi.
Nunda had the chance to stretch KCCA’s lead when Keziron set him up but his effort went wide.
KCCA FC made another change seven minutes from full time when John Odumegwu was introduced for Mike Mutyaba.
In the 86th minute, Jamil Malyamungu then made a point-blank save to deny Vipers’ Kayiwa from close range and also keep KCCA FC’s lead.
KCCA’s last change saw Achai Herbert come on for Keziron Kizito.
1-0 the final score.

KCCA FC now has 22 points from 10 games and will face tax collectors URA FC next on Wednesday 20th November at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.
