KCCA FC 1-2 BUL FC

MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

Saturday 12th April 2025

KCCA FC lost 2-1 to BUL FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Ahead of the fixture, KCCA FC was 6th on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table; a win against BUL FC would take the Cityzens to 4th position, just two points behind 3rd-placed BUL FC.

Visitors BUL FC were 4th, just a position below KCCA FC, and a win against the 13-time UPL Champions now takes them to 3rd position and 8 points clear of KCCA FC.

KCCA FC enjoyed possession for the biggest part of the opening stanza and dominated all battles between both sets of players.

Joel Sserunjogi almost gave KCCA the lead, but his curling effort was tipped over the bar by BUL’s goalkeeper, Joel Mutakubwa.

Despite KCCA dominating the game, it was BUL that found the back of the net first from Jeromy Kirya who guided the ball past Mugolofa in the 29th minute.

1-0 at the break.

Hassan Muhamud was cautioned for a late challenge on Ndugwa.

It was substitute Ashraf Mugume that found the consolation goal for KCCA FC late on in stoppage time.
