KCCA FC returned to wining ways with a 2-0 win against Kyetume FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League Game played at MTN-Omondi Stadium.
The draw means KCCA FC are now on 41 points and lie 4th on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table
Julius Poloto’s first half header and Samuel Ssenyonjo’s spectacular long range effort was all KCCA FC needed to bag three points against relegation fighting Kyetume FC.
Early in the game, Achai Herbert missed putting KCCA FC ahead twice in a space of three minutes. Both chances fluffed wide from close quarters with the Kyetume goal keeper at his mercy.
Julius Poloto then broke the deadlock with a diving header off a good ball from Gift Ali.
In the 35th minute, Ssenyonjo missed tapping in Aliro’s cross. His effort flew wide off the upright.
After recess, Lwanga Charles and Anukani Bright replaced Kigozi Samson and Achai Herbert in 64th minute.
A minute later, Musana Hassan teed up Samuel Ssenyonjo who was half way the opponent’s half. He controlled and did a 360 turn before striking in a spectacular manner passed Kyetume’s Were.
With a quarter an hour to play, Lwanga Charles made a good run down the right flank but was let down by his final touch. His shot flew over the frame of the goal with the Kyetume shot stopper beaten.
Balinya Juma, Keziron Kizito and Jurua Hassan later replaced Poloto Julius, Mugume Ashraf and Gift Ali.
2-0 the final score.
KCCA FC returning to winning ways and now lie 4th on the table with 41 points from 24 games.
