KCCA FC picked its first ever win in Buhinga on match day 27 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier.

The Kasasiro Boys had on 3 attempts failed to win against Tooro United FC in Buhinga.

Sadat Anaku’s brace in the 45th and 73rd minute was all the 13 times Uganda Premier League Champions needed to win the game on a cold and wet afternoon in the west.

Early in the game, Kasirye could have found the back of the net but nodded inches wide from a well weighted cross by Innocent Wafula in the 6th minute.

Two minutes later, Sadat Anaku’s chance was cleared off the goal line.

At the quarter hour mark, Mugume’s shot whistled off the upright after he had been teed up well by Kasirye.

Anaku celebrates his first goal

In the 29th minute, Skipper and goal keeper Benjamin Ochan was replaced by Derrick Ochan after the former picked an injury.

In the 36th minute, teenager Mwanje Elvis dribbled past two men and set up Anaku whose first time volley was saved by Tooro’s goal keeper.

Anaku found the back of the net but was flagged offside in the 40th minute.

Kasirye Davis beats his man

Five minutes later, the number 14 headed home from a well taken corner kick by teenager Juma Ibrahim that was fumbled by bodies in the box before Anaku nodded home.

1-0 at the break. KCCA FC with the advantage.

After recess, Juma’s header was cleared off the line for the second time in the game.

Mwanje could have scored on his first start for the club but he was denied from close quarters by Tooro’s goal keeper.

Obenchan and Mato replaced Wafula and Mugerwa in the 69th minute.

Anaku doubled KCCA FC’s lead when he headed past Tooro’s goal keeper after he had been set up by Kasirye in the 73rd minute.

In the 80th minute, Sekisambu and Majwega replaced an injured Obenchan and Kasirye.

The two teenagers Mwanje and Juma combined and orchestrated one final move that had the former shoot straight to the goal keeper in the final minute of the game.

2-0 the final score.

Man of the Match: Sadat Anaku scored a brace

KCCA FC picking the 13th league win of the season and maintaining 2nd spot on the table on 50 points from 26 games and with a game in hand.

KCCA FC will host Bright Stars FC next in the league on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
