KCCA FC put five goals past Soltilo Bright Stars FC on match day 21 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

A first-half brace from Bright Anukani and a goal each from Usama Arafat, Saidi Mayanja, and substitute Joao Gabriel were all the 13-times Champions KCCA FC needed to grab the win against Bright Stars FC.

Usama put KCCA FC ahead earlier, but the first assistant referee ruled his goal out for offside.

Bright Stars’ Jafari Kaziro was then cautioned for a foul on Haruna Lukwago in the 14th minute.

Three minutes later, Anukani sent in a fine finish past Bright Stars’ custodian, Were to hand KCCA FC the lead.

Gavin Kizito was cautioned for a foul on Bright Stars’ Kokas.

The game then had 7 minutes of madness.

Arafat Usama tapped home KCCA’s second off a well-crafted assist from Shafik Kwikiriza in the 32nd minute.

Three minutes later, Saidi Mayanja was at the end of a sweeping move to tap home KCCA’s third goal off Usama’s donkey work down the right wing.

In the 39th minute, Anukani curled in a beautiful free kick past Were to record a brace for himself and the fourth for KCCA FC.

4-0 at the break.

After recess, Etienne Katenga replaced Usama Arafat in the 63rd minute.

Seven minutes later, Joao Gabriel and Umar Lutalo replaced Shafik Kwikiriza and Bright Anukani.

Brazilian Joao Gabriel then put the icing on the cake, tapping home Katenga’s cross to make it five and sending the KCCA FC faithfuls in a frenzy.

5-0 at full time.

KCCA FC collecting the fourth win in four games in all competitions.

KCCA FC will visit Kitara FC next on Saturday, 5th April 2025 for match day 22.
