KCCA FC 3-0 EXPRESS FC
A fine performance at home handed KCCA FC three points at home and a position back on top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.
Moses Waiswa’s first-half penalty and two second-half goals from substitutes Tshisungu Kankonde and Charles Lwanga were enough to hand KCCA FC the three points.
A minute after kick-off, Okello was brought down in the box by Derrick Ngoobi, and referee Sabila pointed to the penalty spot.
Waiswa stepped up and slotted home the opener with exquisite finesse to hand KCCA FC the lead.
KCCA FC should have doubled their lead but Shaban’s overhead kick was tipped over by Express’ custodian Denis Otim in the 7th minute.
Joseph Akwandwanaho was cautioned for a foul on Allan Okello in the 14th minute.
Shaban was fouled by Express’ center-back Otim at the edge of the 18-yard box. Okello stepped but his free kick flew over the bar.
After recess, Express’ Joseph Dhata was cautioned for a foul on Rogers Mato in the 53rd minute.
Geoffrey Wasswa was cautioned for a foul on Express’ Anwaru Ntege in the 56th minute.
Morley Byekwaso rang some changes, introducing Tshisungu Kankonde and Julius Poloto for Rogers Mato and Kagawa Ssenoga in the 68th minute.
In the 72nd minute, Tshisungu Kankonde opened his account for KCCA FC with a fine finish to double KCCA FC’s lead.
Seven minutes later, Charles Lwanga and Saidi Mayanja replaced Muhammad Shaban and Moses Waiswa
Substitute Lwanga stretched KCCA’s lead with a belter of a finish to get the third for KCCA FC and his first for the season.
Emmanuel Wasswa would then replace Geoffrey Wasswa.
3-0 the final score.
KCCA FC picking three points at home and going top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table on 25 points from 11 games.
