KCCA FC run riot against newcomers Kyetume FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League game held at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo
The Kasasiro boys showed immediate intent to grab maximum points with rapid attacks towards the visitors’ backline.
Teenager and debutant Sam Ssenyonjo had the game’s best chance in the opening 15 minutes but his header was kept out by Kyetume keeper Mutakubwa.
On the 20th-minute mark, Obenchan had his header cleared off the line from a well-taken corner from Kizza Mustafa.
Mike Mutyaba broke the deadlock with a fine header from Kizza’s free kick to give KCCA the advantage on 23 minutes.
Five minutes later, scorer turned provider when Mike Mutyaba set up Kizza Mustafa for KCCA’s second goal.
After recess, Sande Steven pulled one back for Kyetume FC in the 49th minute.
A minute later, debutant Sam Ssenyonjo nodded home the third goal to stretch KCCA’s lead and also record his maiden goal for the club.
On 66 minutes, Muzamiru joined the party when he scored off a rebound to record KCCA’s fourth goal.
Sserwadda and Achai were then introduced to the game to replace Sekisambu and Mike Mutyaba respectively.
With 10 minutes to go, Davis Lubowa scored for Kyetume.
Nicholas Kasozi replaced Muzamiru Mutyaba who seemed to have picked a knock before he was withdrawn.
Allan Okello then put the icing to the cake with a trademark finish from outside the box to stretch the lead to five.
5-2 the final score.
KCCA FC winning its sixth league game in the last seven matches played.
The Champions now lie 4th with 26 points and on 12 games played with three games to spare in the first round.
