KCCA FC were 2-0 winners against Maroons FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at Luzira Prisons Grounds.
Early in the game, Sadat Anaku and Gift Ali had some beautiful interplay the latter’s fierce shot flew above the crossbar.
On 14 minutes, Jurua Hassan’s flawless cross in the box met an unmarked Herbert Achai who nodded home from close quarters to give KCCA FC the advantage.

On 26 minutes, Jurua and Achai teamed up again. The former crossed in the box but this time around Achai’s header was saved by Maroons’ Dhaira.
KCCA’s skipper Chares Lukwago was called into action pulling off a magnificent goal line save to deny Maroons’ Zziwa on 32 minutes.
After the break, Bright Anukani and Moses Aliro replaced Gift Ali and Samson Kigozi just five minutes from the hour mark.
A minute later, KCCA FC were handed a penalty after a scuffle in the box that had the hosts handle in the forbidden area.

Jurua Hassan held his nerve to slot past goal keeper Dhaira Eric and to double KCCA FC’s lead on 67 minutes.
With a quarter an hour to play, Musa Ramathan blocked Pius Obuya’s goal bound shot to keep KCCA FC’s lead.
Morley Byekwaso then made a triple change. Introducing Juma Balinya, Loro Mazengo and Keziron Kizito for Iguma Denis, Sserwadda Steven and Herbert Achai on 80 minutes.
With three minutes to the 90th minute mark, Sadat Anaku had the chance to extend KCCA’s lead but his effort was blocked by Maroons’ Patrick Bayiga.
