KCCA FC suffered a setback in its aspirations to defend the Uganda Premier League title. The Kasasiro boys lost 2-1 to taxmen URA FC in a closely contested encounter at the Arena of Visions, Bombo.

What seemed like would be a barren draw produced three goals in a space of six minutes. URA drew first blood in the 86th minute through a Cromwel Rothomio penalty after Nicholas Kasozi handed the ball in the box.

Two minutes later, Saidi Keni doubled the tax men’s lead from a counter-attack orchestrated by Shafick Kagimu and Rothomio Cromwell.

On the 90 minute mark, Herbert Achai pulled one back for the Champions with a smashing finish.

Mike Mutebi’s side had earlier on received agony when youngster Julius Poloto was taken off after picking up an injury two minutes from the end of the first half.

Nicholas Kasozi was introduced in place of the number 22.

Two minutes after the restart John Revita was taken off the field injured and was replaced by Filbert Obenchan.

Kasozi, Kizza and Musa were cautioned after committing bookable offenses.

2-1 the final score.
