After successfully arriving in Pretoria on Tuesday evening, kCCA FC conducted their first training session on Wednesday morning at the Tshwane University of Technology sports complex in Pretoria.

Midfielder Paul Mucureezi sounded confident after the team’s first training session ahead of the Friday 2017 Total CAF Champions League first leg tie against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

We have trained well, everyone is focused and ready for the game

Mucureezi told www.kccafc.co.ug before also praising the weather in South Africa which has been friendly and they are slowly acclimatizing to the conditions.

The weather is good and we are getting used to it. I do not think it will affect us in any way because it is almost similar to the one in Uganda

Mucureezi also indicated that playing under floodlights is not a reason for them to worry ahead of the clash against Mamelodi Sundowns which will keep off at 9pm EAT.

Playing on floodlights is not a big deal because most of the players have had a chance to play under floodlights before. There is no difference with day light because you see the ball and opponents clearly, so we are not worried at all

KCCA FC knocked out CD Primeiro de Agosto 2-2 on aggregate on away goals rule and the same over Sundowns will make them the first Ugandan club to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League.

KCCA FC come to South Africa with a decent record, having failed to score just once out of the 22 games they have played this season, scoring a staggering 51 goals, conceding 16 in all competitions.
