Mutebi coach of the year as foursome is named in FUFA XI

For delivering his first league title as a manager and the 11th for KCCA FC, manager Mike Mutebi was named coach of the year at the 2016 Airtel FUFA Awards on Friday night at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

And didn’t waste time as he dedicated the award to all fellow with a special mention to Cranes coach Micho Sredejovic for guiding the Uganda Cranes to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1978.

At the same Awards night, KCCA FC had four of it’s first team players named in the FUFA Best Eleven at the 2016 Airtel FUFA Awards on Friday night at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The four had a sucefull for both club and country having inspired club and national teammates respectively.

Ochaya, the reigning Uganda Premier League most valuable player also did win the footballer of the year for KCCA FC.

Ochaya inspired KCCA FC to their 11th league title and was a mainstay in the Cranes setup as the country qualified for the 2017 Africa Cup p of Nations finals in Gabon for the first time since 1978.

He is named in the back line together with his club skipper Dennis Okot, who just like Ochaya were also named in the best eleven of the 2016/2017 Uganda Premier Season and played an integral part for the Cranes at the 2016 African Championship of Nations in Rwanda.

Muzamir Mutyaba is without a doubt the best player currently in local football and just like his teammates, the creative gem played an integral part as KCCA won the league title and is knocking on the doors of the senior Cranes’ setup.

Robert Ssentogo, who topped scored with 18 goals on league last season wasn’t overlooked in a side that.
