The manager has earmarked returning midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba as the possible match winner against Bright Stars FC on Sunday.
The former Maroons and SCVU attacking midfielder completed the entire Omondi vs Kirunda friendly game played on Thursday morning at Lugogo.
He made those mazy runs and distributed the ball like a true playmaker which gave the manager hope the midfield will be given an extra boost.
“Since we are still missing most of our vital players, Mutyaba’s return breathes a new lease of life in the team’s final push for two trophies,” the manager said.
Mutyaba missed the recent 2-1 loss to minnows The Saints FC on Tuesday at Nakivubo but is set to feature for the club against Simba FC at Bombo next Tuesday after the Uganda cup tie on Sunday.
The manager may not risk him in the Barcelona friendly game on Saturday or probably he may give him a few minutes to gain match fitness. Mutebi clarified that injured stars; Godfrey Ssembatya, Lawrence Kasadha, Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Timothy Awany, Martin Mpuga and Ronald Kikonyogo are still in contention and might not be available until late next week.
