Umar Lutalo has signed a deal with KCCA FC until the end of the 2024–25 season.
Lutalo’s contract has an option for further extension after the end of the current season.
Umar Lutalo joins KCCA FC from Kitara FC, where he played in the first round of the 2024/25 season.
He operates as an attacking midfielder and makes good runs upfront down the left wing on top of having a thunderous shot from distance.
Lutalo also previously featured for SC Villa, where he spent three seasons and won the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League title.
The player spoke to the club media upon putting pen to paper and said,
I feel so happy to sign for KCCA FC. I have come here to add to the rich history of the club and compete with my mates. The club has good players in my position, but I bring healthy competition to ensure that we can achieve something positive as a unit.
Lutalo, a versatile player, can also operate as a left-winger and a left-back.
He previously featured for the Uganda U20 side (Hippos) at the AFCON U20 in Egypt 2023 and was part of the Uganda Cranes squad for the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifier games against Somalia, Guinea, and Botswana.
He will largely compete for a position with the likes of Bright Anukani, Sharifu Ssengendo, Saidi Mayanja, Ashraf Mugume, and Steven Munguchi in the attacking midfield role.
Everyone at KCCA FC welcomes Umar Lutalo and wishes him the very best at the club.
