
Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) striker Derrick Nsibambi scored twice as the Cranes defeated Northern Region 2-0 in the customary Regional Tour.
The Lethal goal poacher came on in the second half to score in the 55th and 62nd minutes to save the Cranes which had gone into the break without a goal having squandered a number of chances.

After the game, Nsibambi told www.kccafc.co.ug that the brace is a great motivation ahead of the much anticipated 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifier against Ghana on 7th October 2017 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
This goal is such a motivator to me and gives trust to the coach to consider me for the upcoming anticipated WCQ against Ghana
Nsibambi has seven caps on his name, having made his debut against Cape Verde in opening game of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier.

He played in a four games and scored twice as Uganda defeated South Sudan and Rwanda respectively to qualify for the finals of the 2018 African Championship of Nations.
He also started both games against Egypt in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, as Uganda won the home tie 1-0, before losing the reverse with the same margin.

KCCA had five players who traveled with the National Team to Lira and they include goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, defenders Timothy Awanyi and Isaac Muleme.
The others are midfielders Paul Mucureezi and Muzamir Mutyaba
