Striker Derrick Nsibambi is the leading marksman for both KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) Striker Derrick Nsibambi currently on national duty ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Uganda and Ghana slated for October 8th at Namboole.

The striker was identified as the Cranes’ leading marksman by former tactician Micho Sredejovic and current head coach Moses Basena with seven caps under his name.

The 2017 FUFA Uganda Cup top scorer with seven goals wants to use the national team exposure to better himself but also take KCCA FC to the next level.

There is a lot to learn here, playing against teams like Egypt twice, Cape Verde, helping Uganda qualify for CHAN is huge for me as a player but also for us a country

Nsibambi told www.kccafc.co.ug on Wednesday morning, as he and his teammates prepared for a friendly against Madagascar at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, he also added.

The more you spend time with the national team and play these games the more you develop and in return you return to your club as a better player which is what am focused on right now

Nsibambi together with shot stopper Benjamin Ochan, Muzamir Mutyaba, Isaac Muleme, and Timothy Awany are all part of the national team engagement and the former believes it’s for the better.

Of course it’s for the better, and we should be able to transform the knowledge and experience back to our club both domestically and on the continent because of the ambitions we have as a club

When done with international duty, Nsibambi and company will turn focus on the Azam Uganda Premier League that resumes on October 14th with KCCA FC visit Jinja side BUL FC at kakindu.

Our next home game will be against Bright Stars on October 17th as the league champions look at bettering their one win and three draws after the opening four games of the season.
