UPL, Tuesday
KCCA vs The Saints
Nakivubo
With so many injuries in the team, it is a great boost to have 11-goal hero Ceaser Okhuti and midfield general Ivan Ntege back for The Saints FC league game on Tuesday.
Ntege returns at the time when we have just lost Lawrence Kasadha to a groin injury and versatile Godfrey Ssembatya is still two weeks away from returning.
First choice custodian Benjamin Ochan skipped Monday training session as he still recovers from a chin injury which implies Emmanuel Opio – who was superb in the 2-0 win over JMC at Kakindu on Saturday – will continue deputizing him in goal.
The three-man backline of Saka Mpiima, Martin Mpuga and Habib Kavuma will be required to reproduce the splendid act put up at Kakindu whereas the five-man midfield of Sulaimon Akinyemi, Hakim Ssenkumba, Paul Mucureezi, Dennis Okot and Joseph Ochaya will prove too good for the visitors. Lethal playmaker Jackson Nunda is still seeking for his third goal of the season as he plays behind lone striker Derrick Nsibambi.
We have won four times and drawn once in the last five games; Police (2-1), Bright Stars (2-1), Maroons (1-0), Lweza (1-1) and JMC (2-0) whereas The Saints under Moses Basena have lost twice, drew twice and won one in the last five league games.
Akinyemi scored the lone goal the last time we played The Saints FC, sitting 13th on the 16-team log.
There is a great chance for us to go 12 points clear at the top of the league table if we win since second placed Vipers SC are not in action on Tuesday.
We will still be without Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Ssembatya, Timothy Awany, Muzamir Mutyaba and Ronald Kikonyogo.
