Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will play their last Group A tie against Club Africain at the Stade Olympique De Rades with a lot more at stake.

According to KCCA FC captain Denis Okot, the reigning League champions and Uganda Cup holders have nothing to prove to anyone.

Especially since no one gave them a chance from the start to reach this far in the competition, rubbing shoulders with some of the best teams on the continent.

First and fore most because no one gave us a chance, in their eyes we have punched above our weight. But that’s not the case

Okot told www.kccafc.co.ug after the Wednesday training session at the Stade Olympique De Rades training ground.

The desire to perform comes from within, the hunger is too much because the manager has given us belief and we want to go as far as we can in this competition.

KCCA and Club Africain lead Group A on nine points, the latter with a better head to head. A draw will see both sides through.

We are not playing for a draw, we are playing for the best result, of course our style of play requires us to dominate possession, attack, but stay organised defensively, that’s how we are approaching the game on Friday.

KCCA were already the first side to play in the group stages of the CAF Inter club competition, making the last eight will open another chapter in the history of the 64 year old club.
