The third edition of Philip Omondi Pre-Season Invitational Tournament returns this Friday 14th and ends on Saturday 15th September 2018 at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
The annual tournament named after club legend Philip Omondi arguably the greatest Ugandan footballer of all times, will have two fresh faces in Nyamityobora FC a newly promoted side to the top tier and Kamuli Taxi Park FC (a FUFA Big League side) joining the two traditional clubs Proline FC and hosts KCCA FC.
The tournament meant to further prepare the clubs ahead of the 2018/19 season will be played in a round robin format. Proline FC who are double Champions of the tournament will be seeking for a third title in a row.
In this tournament, a win will equate to three points, while every goal scored will equate to a point. The prize money in this year’s edition is One million Uganda Shillings, a trophy and medals for the winner. Other prizes to be won are; 200,000 shs for Most Valuable Player and 100,000 shs for top scorer.
