After eliminating Angola’s Club Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto at the preliminary round of the 2017 Total CAF Champions League , KCCA FC will now shift focus to their next opponents, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ahead of the first leg encounter against the reigning African champions this Friday, KCCA FC manager, Mike Mutebi has indicated the team will continue to play the as always and not to defensive.
We are going to play our way. All we have to do is to respect them as the defending champions but not changing our style of play
The manager told www.kccafc.co.ug before revealing what they will need to do to avoid conceding uncharacteristic goals.
We shall try to be orderly not to concede lousy goals and create as many chances as we can and make sure we score because it is important
The manager also indicates he is not worried about the opponents but his focus at the moment is to make sure the team gets a good result away from home.
Mutebi believes the players need to be effective to make sure they put to use the chances created because he is sure the chances will be created
Our style of play is to attack, when you attack you create goal scoring chances and we have averaging about seven chances every game. So it is really up to the players to make sure they are effective enough to convert the chances
KCCA FC takes on Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe stadium this Friday in the first leg before a return leg at Phillip Omondi stadium on March 18th 2017.
