KCCA FC Manager Mike Hillary Mutebi has come out to speak about his squad depth ahead of the new season as a key factor if the team is to challenge for big things.
Mutebi spoke to www.kccafc.co.ug and said;
As the technical team we have been able to assess these players in friendly games, and the build up games we have had and we know who can give us what. Next season we have the league, Uganda cup and continental engagements. We want to compete highly in all the three and that is how the squad depth be important.
When you look at the players in pre season all you see is ” the character that you can do it”. The friendlies are acting as tests and we are hopeful they will help us getting forward. Against Azam FC we had Sadam, Nunda have 10 minutes.
We came two goals down to win a game against CECAFA Champions and for me this is a positive for the boys. We now use the ball more and better, there is a lot more we can do. You saw Muwadda the other day against Azam FC take on players with a lot of confidence and for me this is what I want. A player who believes in himself and doesn’t fear to get into situations. Very important was having Nunda and Sadam play 10 minutes in that game, Mutebi added
