KCCA FC manager Mike Hillary Mutebi has firmly stated that KCCA FC want to defend the Uganda Cup.
KCCA FC have previously won the cup win 2017 and 2018 and will be looking to take it for keeps if they can win for the third time on the bounce.
The Gaffer spoke to www.kccafc.co.ug and gave his post game reactions after the round of 64 match against Amuka Bright Stars FC.
It has been a good start. The more we keep scoring the more we get confident. We created many chances and did not bury them, but am happy with the display on the day. The objective is clear, we want to defend the Uganda Cup. Mutebi said
I expected more goals against Amuka. I have always said if you say you are playing a weak team you must respect them by scoring many goals and after the game they will come and say thank you.
Whereas we scored eight, we should have scored more, and i hope we can build on this momentum. He added.
On the players returning from injury, the boss had this to say;
Am happy Julius Poloto and Bernard Muwanga are back. Bernard had 90 minutes and Julius had 20 minutes. They will have a part to play in our upcoming fixtures.
And finally on Mike Mutyaba’s impact on the team;
Mutyaba continues to lead by example, he is a hard worker and he motivates the young lads. He has enough experience in the game and the lads can look at him as an example. He is enjoying himself and you can see that both in training and games. He has a big part to play in this team.
Mutebi will lead his side this Saturday 29th December away against Bul FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League in a crunch fixture.
