KCCA Gaffer Mike Hillary Mutebi has blown out belief ahead of the second leg of the second preliminary round CAF Confederation Cup game between Paradou A.C and KCCA FC at Stade du 5 Juillet 1962 in Algiers on Sunday 3rd November 2019
We played well but we did not tuck away our chances. We had a number of chances that were clear goal scoring opportunities but the players were rushy infront of goal
Mike Mutebi on the 1st leg tie against Paradou A.C
The Gaffer who will be managing KCCA FC for the 32nd time in CAF engagements sung praises of his team for their display in the first leg and noted that his team was unlucky not to score at home,
You can excuse the players because they are young and are still learning. The positive is there has been improvement from the defenders. You notice that they broke the counter attack everytime the opponents ochestrated it.
Mike Mutebi on his players learning from the CAF games
KCCA FC needs to win away or draw with goals or goalless stalemate and win the game on penalties as it did against Al Masry of Egypt in 2017 when the club qualified for the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in the history of club football in Uganda.
We need to go to Algeria with belief. 0-0 is a decent result and it is not over yet. I am confident we can go away and pick a positive result. We have done this before against Mtibwa Sugar and Al Masry of Egypt when we qualified for the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup for the very first time in 2017
