Innocent Wafula has expressed his happiness after playing his first game for the Uganda National Men’s Football Team.
Wafula was handed his Uganda Cranes debut by Coach Micho Sredojevic as a substitute in the 68th minute, replacing Joseph Ochaya in the World Cup qualifier game against Mali.
The right wingback played for 22 minutes in his first time donning a Uganda Cranes shirt in a competitive game.
Wafula spoke to kccafc.co.ug and said;
I am happy that I have played my first game for the national team. It has been a very good debut for me and I hope for the best in the campaign. I am very grateful for coach who has prepared me for these matches we have played and hopefully all will be well.
