Goals define strikers, and it’s on that basis that 2016/2017 FUFA Big League top scorer with 16 goals Patrick Kaddu is at Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC).
The former Maroons striker wants to make a name for himself at KCCA FC even though many have likened him to last season’s footballer of the year for both club and league Geoffrey Sserunkuma.
I am not Geoffrey Sserunkuma, I am Kaddu. And for me as a player I want to build my own legacy with no pressure of delivering like the players who were here before me
Kaddu told www.kccafc.co.ug on Friday morning as the team geared up for the next league tie against UPDF away in Bombo on Saturday.
The striker who is likely to make his league debut for the league holders emphasizes that there is no pressure that he can’t handle and will just play his game.
Pressure is natural, KCCA FC is a very big club with experienced players, so you have to cope up and compete to be able to deliver, and I am sure I will be able to handle.
About his primary target as a player, Kaddu is focusing on a minimum of 10 goals in the league on top of helping KCCA FC defend the league title.
I want to score 10 goals and above, but also be a league champion with the best team in the country, and for me with those targets meant, I can say I had good season at my new club”
Kaddu made his KCCA FC debut againts Paidha Black Angels in the FUFA Super Cup on September 9th, 2017 at Wankulukuku Stadium, he scored the first goal as the tie was settled 3-0.
He is expected to start with Derrick Nsibambi upfront against UPDF as KCCA FC search for their first win in the 2017/2018 season.
